Shireesha loves writing and is currently planning to write a memoir about her Indian-American experience. She also enjoys long walks with her dachshund rescue mix and arranging doggie play dates! She is an avid cook and exercise enthusiast.

Shireesha Jevaji is a seasoned health policy and communications professional with over twelve years of experience in content creation, strategic planning, and project management. Her primary experience has been telling data-driven stories to professional and consumer audiences, focusing on narratives that advance equitable health. 

Currently at the American Medical Association, Shireesha implements physician-centered marketing and communications strategies tailored to empower key stakeholders to move towards outcomes-centered care. In previous roles, Shireesha worked at leading health care organizations and NGOs to translate complex priorities and research findings into compelling and accessible messages for various audiences. She also served as Vice Chair for the Society of Health Policy Young Professionals, a non-profit, non-partisan, volunteer-led health policy networking organization. Her work in international development has taken her to Ghana and Haiti, focusing primarily on strategic board missions that showcased the impact of linking people with private enterprises to generate income, jobs, and wealth to transform lives in the developing world. 

 

Shireesha earned a Master of Public Health (MPH) specializing in Public Health Communications and Social Marketing from The George Washington University’s Milken Institute School of Public Health and previously earned a B.A. in Political Science and Public Policy. She also holds a certificate in business administration, management, and operations from Loyola University Chicago’s Quinlan School of Business.
