Sandrine Amudhan

Executive Director

Sandrine is a senior at University of California, San Diego, and is pursuing a B.S. in Molecular and Cellular Biology with a passion for Bioinformatics and Data Analysis.  During her time at Medical Minds Matter, she was previously the National Engagement Coordinator in the Programs Taskforce working on national projects. She currently works for UCSD Health’s Moore’s Cancer Center as a researcher, and in her free time loves to read, play basketball and spend time with friends and family.

Hansika Poovannan

Media Production Taskforce Director

Hansika graduated from Stony Brook University where she majored in Biology and minored in Women’s Studies and Health, Medicine and Society. Hansika has been passionate about increasing healthcare accessibility, mental health awareness, and disability advocacy throughout her undergraduate career, and will continue to pursue those passions in her post-grad career. She joined Medical Minds Matter in Spring of 2022 to continue fighting for mental health awareness. In her free time, Hansika enjoys paddleboarding, playing the viola or the ukulele, and cooking!

Parth Patel

Programs Taskforce Director

Parth is an aspiring physician dedicated towards addressing systemic healthcare disparities. He is a graduate of the University of Connecticut where he received a B.S. in Molecular and Cellular Biology and a B.A. in Political Science. Parth has been very passionate about social issues since his undergraduate career, including working on issues like global educational equity and student advocacy. He is currently an M1 at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. During his free time, he enjoys chilling with his friends and doing outdoor activities.

Allison Nemesure

Financial Taskforce Director

Allison Nemesure graduated from the University of Connecticut with a degree in Physiology and Neurobiology. In addition to being a teaching assistant and tutor, she is the co-chief of a research program associated with Connecticut Children’s. Allison hopes to matriculate into medical school in the near future. During her free time, she enjoys teaching classes as a certified Spinning Instructure, is an avid runner and loves spending time with her family.
